Wow, lots of mixed reviews here. We haven't noticed any smell, but we haven't had it cleaned yet. It did make lots of crinkly noises when we got it but it has calmed down. We have heavier blankets that don't keep us as warm as this thing does. It seems very light, but keeps us very warm. I enjoy it because it doesn't make my feet feel like they're being crushed, and the warmth is almost instant after crawling underneath.

There was a little smell when I opened it. I washed it and the smell was still there. I hung it up outside overnight and put Fabreeze on it and that took care of the smell. I bought the king size and it's much smaller than I expected. I previously had a queen size on my king bed and this one is just a little larger than the old one. So far, I really like. It keeps me nice and warm.

I really like this comforter, other than the noise it makes. It has actually woke me up a few times during the night. Very noisy. Otherwise, it is warm and cozy.

Have not used the comoforter since i bought it. My wife washed it
before she was going to use it on the our bed but as soon as it
came out of the washer it had a litterally FISHY smell. We had read
a review that stated the same thing but we gave it the benefit of
the doubt but it was very disappointng that it smelled the same
way.
The comofort looks and feels fine except for the horrible smell in
different spots. We thought that maybe it could be the water or
something on our end so we wahsed it again but still the same
resulst.
the only reason i didn't return it was becuase we didn't want to
spend anymore money on it incurring shippping charger. We still
have and maybe we'll use it as a park sheet or in case we REALLY
need an extra cover.

This is a real comfortable and just the right weight comforter for
where i live. I have just begun to use it because the weather is
cooling here and it is quite comfortable.
